As UA and the rest of the A.O. Family continue to grow and expand, we’ve been lucky to come across and begin to form partnerships with other growing forces within the community.

Enter Nursha Project.  I met Shalonda through working at DTW, and we’re already brainstorming ways that we can be working together to support the artistic work and structural growth of both companies. I’m really excited by their approach, outlined here in their mission statement:

Nursha Project™ establishes, produces, and presents Artists and Projects that elucidate sociopolitical activism through the incubation of sustainable ideas, strategic planning, collaborative project design, and product development. We achieve this through the exploration of metaphysics by aligning stakeholders with artists, audiences, and communities.

Check out their site here, and take a peek at their projects and history.  Or, if you’re looking for something good this Thursday night, head over to D-lounge on 101 East 15th St. and check out “Subteranean” – a performance featuring a number of performers including Micia Mosely, seen here giving a progress report for 2010 and PRing her show.

Hope to see you there, check back soon for updates on how UA and Nursha Project are forging ahead.
