the AOMC has a new intern!
Hey I’m Marie! I’m going to be an intern at The AOMC for the next few weeks. I’m a dance student at Bennington College in Vermont but I’m from Minnesota. Before Bennington I danced in a company called Arch at my high school and have studied at Zenon, Minnesota Dance Theater, Ballet Minnesota, and at the University of Minnesota. At Bennington I’m working a lot on learning new ways put choreography together and to collaborate with other artists in my work (i.e. live musicians, visual artists, costume designers, and film students.) I chose to work with the AOMC because I am really interested in both their movement philosophy and their perspective on making the business side of the dance world more accessible. One of the main things I’ll be doing for The AOMC while I’m here is filming new rehearsal footage. But for now here is some awesome footage from last year…
