It’s that time of year again – thirty billion performances and showings spread over twenty billion venues, all squished into one week in New York. This time last year found me roaming the floors of the Hilton with reels4artists, making connections and drumming up business, and it was a hugely informative (if totally exhausting) experience. This year, however, I’m steering clear of the Hilton to instead focus on the performances and showings that this crowded city of artists is showcasing.
There’s a lot that i’d like to write about, and even more that i’d like to see, but there’s just so little time these days! So, rather than try to review more (which would mean seeing less), we’re presenting:
Urgent Artist’s first annual APAP Challenge!
Here’s how it works: Go ahead and choose one show to see or see as many as you possibly can – whatever strikes your fancy. Then, email us your one sentence review of the what you saw, and be sure to include the company/artist and the venue you saw it at. No word limit, but sentences that are obviously not a single sentence in our reality will not qualify. You can enter as many time as you like, but please only one entry per show.
Once APAP madness is over, we’ll publish all the one-sentence reviews that you’ve sent in, which will arguably be the easiest and most enjoyable way to quickly catch up on everything you missed. We’ll pick the top three as first annual APAP challenge champions, and the winner’s lives will be undeniably changed as they skyrocket towards fame, public adoration, and literary honor.
So be clever, be heartfelt, be surprised, be critical, and be creative, but most of all be EXCITED! Enter early and enter often and send it to
urgentartist@gmail.com
and then check back here for all the results and reviews!

Love it. Can’t wait– it all starts tomorrow!
Oooh ooh ooh! i can’t wait to see what YOU come up with! I’m especially excited about the American Realness shows – seeing Miguel and Ann Liv tomorrow night and Jeremy Wade on monday!
